Testimony of
Tali Hadad
At 6:30 am, Tali woke up to the sound of rocket alarms. She heard a motorized paraglider followed by gunshots. Her son, Itamar, a Nahal combat soldier on active duty, home for a short break after completing his officer training, immediately said it was a terrorist attack. He grabbed his weapon and rushed out of the house. Tali, who’s always supported her children, put on her sports shoes and followed him. Her daughter Meitav joined her. Once they saw the terrorists, they hid, and from their hiding place, they could hear the battle Itamar was fighting. Realizing there wasn’t enough support, Tali ran back, grabbed her car, and prepared to evacuate casualties. The first injured was her son. At the EMT center she took him to, she told him she had to rush back and help others. In the days that followed, they heard about friends who were murdered, kidnapped, and missing. Itamar hopes to recover and return to his army duty.
