Testimony of
Oren Laufer
On Saturday morning, a few hours after red alarms were sounded in Moshav Patish, Oren Laufer left his family in the safe room and joined his father-in-law, Rami Davidian, who began rescuing survivors from the Nova festival who had arrived in the Moshav in their escape. As he led hundreds of them on foot to safety, he first heard of the large nature party that had been attacked. Oren, a southerner who knows the area well, went out again with his family members and other volunteers to locate survivors who survived the attack. The rescuers operated repeatedly, without any security assistance, under fire from terrorists, and risking their lives. During that morning, they also reached the party area and managed to evacuate those who remained alive, among them the injured in a severe condition. Hundreds of Nova survivors owe them their lives.
