Testimony of
Nir Caspi Sultan
On Saturday morning, when the red alert sounded, Nir Caspi Sultan, with her husband and their two children, entered the safe room in their home in the kibbutz. In a short time, shouts in Arabic, gunshots, and grenade explosions were heard. At the same time, messages circulated in the group about wounded people and houses being burned. They remained locked in the safe room for many hours, with her husband holding the door handle and the children sitting silently, with the electricity and air conditioner turned off. During those hours, terrorists wandered inside the house, tried to open the door of the safe room, gave up, and left but returned, identifying themselves as IDF soldiers. Even when the army arrived, Nir and her family were afraid to open the door. After about 12 hours, they left for Kibbutz Gvulot. After the rescue, it became clear to them that Adam's parents, Ronit and Rolan, with whom they had lost contact, had been murdered.
