Testimony of
Matar Belzer
Matar, a DJ from Ramat Gan, bought the ticket for the Nova festival while he was in Mexico during his big after-army trip to South America. He came to the party with a friend on Friday. On Saturday morning, he heard rockets and saw interceptions in the sky, but the music continued, no alarm was sounded, and the partygoers continued to dance. A short while later, the organizers called on the partygoers to evacuate the place. Matar and his friend arrived in their car and drove to the main road. After a vehicle near them was hit by a missile and a terrorist emerged in front of them, they left the car and started running in an open area. For 7 hours, they ran and hid until they encountered a resident of Moshav Patish who picked them up in his car and took them to the Moshav. They stayed there until they were evacuated to Be'er Sheva.
