Daniel Rahamim
Daniel Rahamim, who was the spokesman for the kibbutz, understood that the red alerts and the rocket barrages were different this time in terms of the intensity and duration of the fire. He entered the safe room with his wife, and from there, he contacted his children and grandchildren who also lived in the kibbutz. Daniel was informed about the infiltration of terrorists into the kibbutz and saw messages from neighbors who wrote that terrorists had entered their home and shot at them. When he lost contact with his son, he feared for his fate and turned to TV Channel 13. Daniel begged them for reinforcements and help from the army. In the late evening, when the rescue forces arrived, Daniel and his wife refused to evacuate without their son and grandchildren. Daniel allowed himself to break down only when he arrived at the evacuation site, realizing in retrospect what he had heard and seen that day.
